Meet AARF's Adorable Pets

At Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, we have many lovable and furry friends waiting for their forever homes. Click through our gallery to learn more about them and their stories. For information on how to adopt and our adoption process, view the information below!

Adoption

We are so glad you are interested in adopting a pet from AARF! By adopting a pet from us, you are helping us help more pets in need! Many of our pets have been waiting a long time for a forever home. Some have special physical or behavioral needs, so please read descriptions carefully and ask any questions that come up. We look forward to helping you find a good match!

*Note: Visiting our pets is by appointment only. Please fill out the adoption application to schedule an appointment.*

AARF's adoption process requires a few steps:

1. A completed application - Click here to fill out the adoption application

2. A home visit

3. Signing the adoption contract and paying the adoption fee

Adoption fees are:

Dogs - $225

Cats - $125

Please be patient once you complete an application. Many of our pets are not at our facility but are in foster homes. Our adoption coordinator will contact you within 24 hours to give you more information and set up a meeting. The adoption process will usually take 3-7 days, depending on scheduling. We do not do adoptions on the same day that you complete the application.

Because our adoption process requires a home visit, we only do adoptions in the Atlanta metro area. If you have any questions before completing the application, email us at info@aarfatlanta.org or call 678-534-3483.Thank you for your interest in adopting from us. Please fill out the adoption application and hit submit.

All pets from AARF has been:

  • Vaccinated

  • Microchipped

  • Examined by a vet

  • Treated for Parasites

  • Tested for FIV and FeLV

Fostering

Do you want a pet now, but can’t make the 10-15 year commitment? Do you have the time and space to get a homeless pet ready for a new lease on life? Then become a foster parent today!

AARF’s biggest need is FOSTER PARENTS! We always have a list of pets waiting to come into the AARF program and the county shelters are always full. We are limited primarily by the number of foster homes we have. Fostering is a rewarding way to help homeless pets.

If you are interested in fostering one of our pets or would like more information on fostering, click here to view our foster information page.
