Want to get involved as a volunteer? That’s great! AARF relies on our volunteers to help us in our mission to create a community where every pet matters.
Below are the steps to complete to become an AARF volunteer:
1) Fill out the volunteer application here.
2) Complete the online waiver here.
You will be added to our volunteer bulletin to receive information about our volunteer opportunities. You may also be contacted directly for specific events. Check out the calendar of volunteer opportunities here!

Volunteer FAQS
What is an Active Volunteer?

An active volunteer is defined as someone who volunteers at least once quarterly. Many of AARF's hands-on volunteer activites are in high demand. Active volunteers will receive preference for volunteer activity assignments.
Tax Deductions
​
Unfortunately, time spent volunteering is not tax deductible. However, mileage and donations are. Please keep thorough records and receipts regarding mileage driven for volunteer activities.
Get News and Updates
​
The Volunteer Newsletter is sent out to volunteer subscribers monthly. The newsletter outlines volunteer news, opportunities, and updates. If you would like to be added to the list, please inform the Volunteer Coordinator.
